Columbia South Carolina Headshot Photographer: Matt Raehn...New York Life Expert!

Matt wanted portraits taken for his marketing material, but didn't want the boring JC Penny headshot type. We used a local pond setting and got some great shots that will make him stick out from the crowd of his coworkers. If anyone is interested in New York Life Insurance, call Matt Raehn!

India and James were a LOT of fun and a BIG challenge to work with, but only because of their height difference!! James is about 2 feet taller than India, so we got to try out all kinds of new, different poses that would work well for both of them, and we had a great time in the proccess! Here are a few of my favorites....

Columbia, SC Engagement Photographer:: Paige and Mac

Paige, Mac, and I met in West Columbia for their Lovebirds shoot right before sunset. The evening was great, each old building was a perfect backdrop and I loved that the two of them were not at all shy about showing their L-O-V-E...it makes my job easy! Here are a few of my favorites...

Columbia, SC Baby Photographer: Sweet Little Korlin!

Sweet little Korlin was only 9 days old when I had a mini photo session with her at home in Kentucky. Besides a diaper-less mishap on her Daddy, she was a perfect little model which is easy because she was so cute! Here are a few of my favorite from the session...

Columbia, SC Portrait Photographer: The Morner Family

Lindsey,Derek, and William are another family I was able to work with while I was Hamilton a little earlier this month and they are wonderful. I've known them for years and practically grew up with Derek as my 3rd big brother. Little Will is hilarious, and couldn't take a bad picture if he tried....and he did :) His 2 year old attention span made for some GREAT candids!! Here are a few of my favorites from their session....

Columbia SC Senior Portrait Photographer: Laura's Senior Pictures!

Laura is a beautiful high school senior that made quite a trip so that we could do her senior portraits while I was in Ohio for the week. Her mom, her, and I found a great location where we had plenty of natural backgrounds to work with. Laura is a country girl at heart and I think we captured that perfectly, here are few of my favorite....

Columbia SC Portrait Photographer: Two BUSY weeks of Portrait Sessions!!

The last two weeks have been some of the busiest ones I've had in a long time, and one of them was my vacation (from the official 9-5)! My plan for the week was to go back home to Ohio and to visit family, something I haven't been able to do in months. Before I got there, I went ahead and scheduled a few portrait sessions that I clearly wouldn't get a chance to do otherwise. (Due to the whole living 500 miles away thing). It was a crazy photography week, full of portrait sessions and editing but I loved every minute of it. I'm not sure who said it, but I love the quote "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

Before I even left for Ohio, I had the bunny shoots to do! As you can tell in my previous post, the bunnies were ADORABLE and also very well behaved. It was great to watch the little ones play with the "other" little ones and I got some great candid shots as well as the posed ones that the parents want for the typical Easter portraits. Here are a few of my favorites from the day...

It didn't help that the bunnies were cute, but the kids were cuter! After I finished with the shoots and returned the bunnies to their owner, it was time to prepare for my trip and get on the road the next day. I had to be in Hamilton the next night so that I could prepare for my first Ohio session, Aimee and Erik's engagement pictures! This was a special one, since I have known both of them for years and I happen to be the Maid of Honor in their wedding! My trip was the perfect timing since Erik works in Mississippi, Aimee lives in Ohio, and I live in SC so its pretty rare that we are all in one place at the same time. We went to Sharon Woods and had a blast catching up and finding great locations in the park. (Which I found from calling a random photographer I found locally on Facebook! Thanks!) Here are a few of my favorites from their session.....

I cannot WAIT until their wedding...... :) Stay tuned for more posts from my Ohio trip!
